Disneyland is a pretty magical place at the best of times but for one little boy, it just became even more incredible.

This video of a shy hearing-impaired youngster meeting his favourite Disney characters Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse and Pluto will put a big smile on your face.

The little guy was on a Disney trip organised by family charity Olive Crest and was completely overwhelmed when he came face to face with his beloved Disney characters. He was even more excited when he realised they could communicate with him.

At first, he looks a little uncertain as he approaches Mickey, Minnie and Pluto and is signing tentatively.

However, Minnie sees his American Sign Language interpreter signing behind him and beckons him to come over.

She and Mickey then proceed to sign “Nice to meet you,” to the little boy who starts signing back excitedly.

The shy youngster then throws his arms around Minnie for a hug before approaching Mickey to offer him one also. The little boy’s caseworker says he didn’t expect such affectionate behaviour.

The little boy’s caseworker explains: "Guys, this kid is the most incredible child I've ever met. He is mostly deaf, so the ASL translator is behind him, signing to the characters so they can copy her and communicate with the little guy. He is not a big hugger, so that hug for Minnie is something special.”

His parents who were also along for the trip said: "They were signing 'It's nice to meet you.' Once he realised they spoke his language he couldn't help but hug them!”

Olive Crest shared the video of the adorable encounter to their Facebook page where it subsequently went viral.

The video has since had an amazing 346K views and over 2,000 shares.

One Facebook user wrote: “He doesn’t need to say a word! The hugs say it all,” while another said: “Things like this make Disney a great place.”

We’re really thrilled for this little boy, we can see how good he feels to be included in the conversation and listened to.
