Passengers aboard a Delta flight from Beijing to Detroit were left horrified and outraged when a child pooped in his seat – at the request of his parents.
Despite protests from passengers to bring the child to the bathroom, his parents insisted he go in his seat.
The parents of the child had even placed newspaper on the seat while the child went to the toilet around other passengers.
The child’s grandparents backed up the parents’ actions, also believing their grandchild should use the newspaper-covered seat for his business.
One passenger, Luolan Gang Wang told news outlet, Sina News, that the smell then began to fill the plane, causing outrage and disgust from fellow passengers.
The incident was said to have occurred last week and set Chinese website, Weibo, alight with many commenters appalled at the incident.
Update: A spokesperson for Delta Airlines has told The Huffington Post that they hold no record of the incident: “Our records do not confirm this story.”
