Reese Witherspoon's youngest child, Tennessee, four, is now attending preschool. And, like most young kids, he's developing his basic literacy skills, starting with writing his name.

But it seems he has ran into some difficulty with spelling his unusual name, and we don't blame him!

We definitely couldn't spell the word "Tennessee" at four years old but, in fairness, he made a good stab at it.

Reese shared this cute snap of the tot holding a piece of paper with his spelling attempt.

When your name is TENNESSEE, it's a bit tricky to learn how to spell it ...  #PreSchoolProblems

Looks like Tennessee got to "Ten", and then ran out of both paper and patience.

He looks quite fed up with the whole ordeal! Cheer up, Tennessee, we've all been been there.

Kids with short names definitely have an advantage over others.

Reese has two older children, Ava and Deacon, from her marriage to Ryan Philippe; but Tennessee is her only child with her second husband, Jim Toth.

Tennessee has definitely inherited Reese's blonde hair and bright blue eyes - he's a total cutie.

We're sure he'll be spelling like a pro soon, and will know his US states in no time, too!
