Mums are well aware that children love nothing more than sitting in front of the TV watching their favourite show or playing computer games on the latest console, but mothers also know that their kids don’t benefit from these activities.
 
DVDs, television and computer games can take their toll on your child’s physical and mental health. Playing for more than one hour can cause them to feel anxious and suffer from depression and the curvature of their spine can be affected by being hunched up over the handheld device for too long.
 
Rather than banning your child from them, which may lead to unnecessary battles, they should instead be encouraged to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Simple physical activities like running and playing will help your child concentrate in school and will also help improve their mental health.
