Quick and easy chocolate and cinnamon twists which are sure to impress.
1 can of Jus-Rol Bake-It-Fresh Pain Au Chocolat
20g melted butter
1 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
150g chocolate chips, melted
100g pistachio nuts, chopped
Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6.
Unroll 1 can Jus-Rol Bake-It-Fresh Pain Au Chocolat and lay it out on a sheet of baking paper.
Cut the pastry lengthways into 12 long pieces, cutting along the perforated lines and cutting each section in half.
Brush some melted butter on to six of these pastry strips.
Mix together the caster sugar and the cinnamon.
Sprinkle a little of this mix along each pastry strip which is covered in melted butter.
Chop the chocolate sticks into small pieces the size of chocolate chips.
Spread this chopped chocolate on top of the cinnamon sugar layer.
Brush the other six pastry strips with the beaten egg.
Using your fingers, press around the edges to make a seal.
Twist the pastry lengths several times, then brush with the egg and another sprinkle of the cinnamon sugar mix.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
Leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
