A sweet treat for Christmas
2 x 6 all butter sweet pastry cases
411g jar of classic mincemeat
25g butter
25g ground almonds
25g flaked almonds
A pinch of ground cinnamon
25g light soft brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Fill each pastry case with 1 heaped tbsp of mincemeat & spread out to smooth.
Melt the butter & mix with the rest of the ingredients & sprinkle a little over the top of each mince pie.
Arrange on baking sheets & bake for 12-15 mins until golden brown.
Serve warm or cold dusted with icing sugar & a little grated orange zest, if preferred.
