20 years ago, Canadian teacher, Bruce Farrer, made a promise to his students that has only now been fulfilled.

The high school teacher got his 1994 class to write an assignment that consisted of a ten page letter to their future selves which he promised to get to them in 20 years.

And he did. When Farrer retired in 2002, he left his job with five full boxes of letters that needed to be sent to their authors.

Farrer tracked down his former students addresses and got each letter to them.

However, Farrer has not unfortunately been able to track down every single student and hopes that with all of the publicity the story is recieveing that they will get in contact.

One former student, Scott Fulton said that he is "amazed and inspired by at the work of Mr. Farrer".

Fulton is now a teacher himself and gives his students that very same assignment with that very same promise that he will send the letters back to them in 20 years.

Another student, DJ Anardi wrote about a crush he had while in high school on a girl he is now married to.
