Earlier this week we reported on parents' outrage over misspellings in a US teacher’s note home, but it seems the content of the following letter was well thought-through.

Yeshiva Ketana school in Long Island, New York has come in for major criticism this week, after offering to change students’ results on their report cards.

Concerned parent Jerry Richter took to Twitter to share a screenshot of the letter he received home with his son’s report card containing the performance results of his first semester.

Advising parents to use “great discretion” when allowing their children to view their report cards, school admin wrote: “If after reviewing the enclosed report card, you would like us to develop a second version of this report card for your son with higher grades, please call.”

As you can imagine, the school has come under fire for the mere suggestion that grades could be changed, and people have been taking to Twitter all week to vent their frustration.

“This is an absolute disgrace! Where is the accountability? Stop coddling your kids!” wrote one woman.

Meanwhile, another Twitter user was quick to point out the irony of the situation, writing: “How times have changed. We used to change our report cards for our parents. Remember how easy an F became an A?”

Do you share in their outrage?
