We receive so many notes, texts and memos home from school that we tend to lose track of them, but this hilarious letter sent out by management at a US school won’t be forgotten for a long time.

A fundraising memo sent home to parents came with a bit of a reality check, and it has gone viral around the world as a result.

Mum Dee Wise Heinz took to social media to share a snapshot of the ‘alternative fundraiser’ memo she found in her child’s schoolbag, suggesting different and, ahem, innovative ways for families to donate money for the cause.

“This fundraiser is in lieu of sending students home with the task of selling door-to-door, collecting money and delivering goods. Please help us avoid that by supporting our PTA with your donation, and helping us achieve our goals and support our students and faculty,” read the introduction.

Check out the donation checklist for yourself – is this a new approach to fundraising that you could get on board with?!

Commenting on the photo, mum Dee said: “I love that our school PTA has a great sense of humour. This form came home with our seventh grader yesterday.”

We bet there are a few more schools that would happily get on board with this approach!
