Maths is hard. You don’t need to have children to even acknowledge that – just think back to those horrendous classes and tests you took when you were in school!

They say, however, that rhymes and music can really help a child when it comes to learning, and US maths teacher Ciera Cece Paul took that idea and ran with it for her own seventh grade class.

Taking Beyoncé’s latest song Formation, Ciera rearranged the lyrics and used the melody and rhymes to teach her class of 12- to 14-year-olds all about geometry.

Now, when we say these kids know their stuff, we really mean it. As you can see in the video below, which Ciera filmed in her own classroom, the students can now rattle off some of the trickiest and most complex geometry principles, just like they were Beyoncé lyrics!

This is honestly one of the most impressive things we have ever seen, and Ciera deserves a medal for getting these students excited about maths.

Check out the video below – it even has Spanish verses and dance moves!

My students love to make beats and dance so I decided to teach them Geometry with a song. Of course my girls love...
