Newly relased video footage has revealed the terror of Palestinian civilians as they fled Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip yesterday.
The military action captured below, which was launched in response to an attack by militant group Hamas, resulted in the death of at least nine Palestinians, two of which were children - although the total death toll is estimated to be much higher.
The video shows women and children emerging from clouds of black smoke as they attempt to escape the bombings. A number of seriously injured civilians were also documented in the footage taken on the streets of Gaza during the attacks.
