Parents who work all week struggle with how to best spend the time during weekend. Do you use the weekend to catch up on housework and running errands, or do you use the time to have fun with the kids?
While both are important, sometimes having fun with the kids is put on the back burner. But, it doesn’t have to be. You can plan your week and weekend in a way that allows you to take advantage of the weekend. Here are some tips:
Use time during the week to complete a couple of the larger household chores. For example, do your laundry on Tuesday night instead of Saturday morning.
Do your grocery shopping on the way home from work one day each week. First of all, you won’t have to take the kids with you like you would on Saturday or Sunday, so you’ll probably get it done faster and spend less.
Start a weekly ritual. Plan to do one fun family activity each weekend no matter what. Whether its movie night or going to the park, make sure the activity is one that your child enjoys.
