Is it teething time for your little one?

Kids and tantrums go hand-in-hand, but that doesn't make them any easier when your little one decides to throw a wobbler when you're out grocery shopping or grabbing food in a restaurant.

Tantrums at home are bad, but tantrums in public can seem ten times worse, usually because we are worried about upsetting others around us.

However, the next time your youngster goes off on one when you're out and about, remember the following 19 things:

1. No one else matters but you and your child

2. No one is actually looking at you

3. And even if they are, you’ll be yesterday’s news before you know it

4. You are better than those people who dare shame you

5. You are DEFINITELY not the first (or the last) mum to have to deal with a public tantrum

6. You need to keep calm and remember that you are the parent

7. No one else’s advice or opinions matter right now

8. It will be over soon

9. A tantrum is NOT a reflection of you as a parent

10. You can handle it how you wish – no one else gets to tell you what to do

11. If anyone says anything you ARE allowed to glare at them

12. It is NORMAL to feel frustrated

13. And embarrassed

14. It won’t last forever

15. This won’t be the last time you have to deal with a public tantrum

16. It is NOT your fault

17. You don’t have to give in to your toddler’s angry outburst to keep the peace for the sake of others around you

18. It is PERFECTLY normal for your child to throw a wobbler

19. No one has the PERFECT way to handle the situation – do what you think is right
