When five-year-old Ruby Myles heard that her father had terminal cancer, she decided she wanted to raise the money to take him to Disneyland Paris “before the angels took him away”.
The Wellington Pub helped Ruby to raise £4,130 in one week, with the help of a charitable businessman, aswell as organising a Disney princess themed party to let them know they had the tickets to go to Disneyland for a week.
Annie McTaggart, who runs The Wellington Pub said: “The day was just so emotional, they are such a lovely family and Damian is one of the nicest men you can meet. He has just constantly been saying ‘why are you helping me, there are others with cancer’.”
Any extra money raised will go into a trust fund for Ruby.
