It’s not unusual for young children to embarrass their parents with inappropriate questions, but when a four-year-old boy asked a woman working in a Connecticut doughnut shop if she had a baby in her belly when she wasn’t pregnant, no one could have predicted what happened next.
Rebecca Denham, the little boy’s mother explains: “My response was, 'Oh my goodness, I'm so embarrassed, I'm so sorry.”
While everything seemed to be ok at the time, Rebecca returned to the shop with her little boy and, “We were screamed at in front of the door, ‘He's not allowed in here, he's rude’”.
The strangest part was that the woman who was asked the question wasn’t offended, Rebecca said she had accepted her apology and said that it wasn’t the first time a child had made such a remark.
The shop has refused to comment, and we don’t think Rebecca will be returning any time soon.
