This incredible video shows the moment a deafblind little girl hears for the first time after having cochlear implants fitted.

Chloe Ring, from Exeter, Devon, was diagnosed deaf and registered blind within the first year of her life.

However, doctors at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children inserted the implants when she was 14 months old and recorded the moment they were switched on for the first time.

The look on her face says it all.

The video of Chloe, who is now aged five, was revealed for the first time last week by Sense, a charity supporting and campaigning for deafblind people.

Six months after her implants were switched on, Chloe said her first word, and she has come a long way since. She recently started at a mainstream school in a class of 30 children and continues to thrive.
