This seven-year-old boy’s reaction to being told he can go home after a stay in hospital is just heart-melting.
Little Avery Harriman had been undergoing intense chemotherapy for 23 days in hospital and was delighted to learn he could finally return home.
The little boy is the son of Nebraska Huskers assistant basketball coach Chris Harriman, and is now fighting cancer for the third time and may still need a bone marrow transplant.
But for a few days, at least, he gets to go home and spend time with his friend and family. This little boy’s innocence and gratitude for the little things is very touching.
Avery’s family have launched a bone marrow awareness campaign.
Our thoughts are with little Avery and his family at this time, and we hope he makes a speedy recovery.
