What better (and cuter) way to mark Women’s History month than getting the future generation to dress up as some of the most important heroines of our past and present.
From Mother Teresa to Michelle Obama, the iconic figures featuring in the Because Of Them, We Can campaign are inspirational women that have paved the way for little girls everywhere.
Eunique Jones Gibson, the photographer and father-of-two who founded the series said that his work is designed, "to refute stereotypes and build their self-esteem by connecting them to heroes past and present.”
The photographer has worked with more than 650 children over the past year.
"I realised that there is a battle going on in each neighbourhood, school and home, and society needs to work to strengthen the self-esteem of our young people," he said. "There are numerous issues that divide us, however, wouldn't it be great if worked together to inundate children all over with these messages of excellence, accomplishment and responsibility?"
