A 20-year-old mum is pending charges after she abandoned her daughter on a subway platform on Monday.
At 12:30pm on Monday, a woman was seen pushing a buggy off a subway train at the Columbus Circle station in New York. She then boarded the same train, leaving her toddler daughter alone on the subway platform.
The little girl, who is believed to be about six or seven months, was looked after by a member of the public who thought the mum would return, before calling police after twenty minutes.
She was then taken to Roosevelt Hospital and is currently under the care of Children’s Services.
After a police hunt for the mother, she was located today and is facing charges following questioning by the police.
