However, while we assume we don’t need to constantly remind them as they get older, we certainly don’t know what they get up to when we aren’t around them.
This footage of kids playing on a dual carriage way in China is truly frightening. The kids are seen playing games in the middle of the road, even lying on the ground, and running when they hear a car coming.
Talking about the incident, officer Wu Jie from the Zhangzhou Traffic Police Department, said: "There is a steep drainage ditch on the roadside and the kids were later found to climb along the ditch and then onto the highway."
Thankfully, they were spotted by police who moved them on and a fence has been built on either side of the road to stop it happening again.
