Our kids often ask for outrageous and sometimes non-existent things for their birthdays. We’d love to make their dreams to come true, but it’s not always possible.

But for one little girl, dreams did come true, when her mum organised for a beautiful UNICORN to come and visit her.

Little Leyton Hull is almost two years old, but doctors never expected her to live this long. The little girl suffers from a condition known as holoprosencephaly, a disorder in which the brain does not divide into two different hemispheres.

Mum Jennifer explained doctors advised her to terminate her pregnancy, given the severity of the condition.

"They told us to terminate her," said Jennifer Hull. “So, having her coming out screaming, crying, was a miracle in itself. And to be here today at two is unbelievable."

Jennifer decided she wanted to throw a special party and photo shoot to celebrate Leyton turning two.

"We had a one-percent chance of making it this far, and here we are," she told Oklahoma’s News on 6. "To us, that's magical, and unicorns are magical. I thought that was perfect."

Jennifer was determined to find a 'unicorn' for the special occasion, and appealed to a local news anchor Annie Chang to help her. Annie posted a photo of Leyton with a cuddly unicorn toy to her Facebook, asking anyone who could help to contact her.

The magical unicorn soon arrived - in the form of a beautiful white horse named Preacher. Local horse owner Shi Leonard said: “I wanted to make it happen for her”.

Shi transformed Preacher into a beautiful unicorn by spraying his mane pink and purple, and painting glitter on his feet. She also gave him a pink glittery horn to complete the look. A garland of flowers completed Preacher’s look, and the gentle giant was happy to pose for photos with the little girl on his back.

Little Leyton was dressed up in a beautiful floral dress and white cardigan for the special occasion.

Jennifer received further help from The Inclusion Project, a group who promote acceptance and awareness for special needs families. Photographer Kathleen Bratton-Batts, founder of The Inclusion Project, took the beautiful photos for free, and the result was just stunning.

Jennifer was overwhelmed by the support she received, saying: “This community has been amazing this whole journey with her, they reach out with everything they can do for us, it's been amazing.

"Leyton’s birthday party will be held next month and Jennifer hopes to organise a carriage ride for the little girl to celebrate."
