We’ve all been there, when our little ones come to us for help with homework and we’re completely at a loss.

With no clue as to what the answer may be, we try and think of anyone who may be in the know when it comes to primary school history.

Well, this girl went about finding help herself, and looked in the most unlikely of places.

10-year-old Lena Draper reached out to her local police department in Marion, Ohio when she couldn’t figure out her maths homework.

A few hours after sending her cry for help, Lena got a response and her mum, Molly, decided to share the adorable conversation on Facebook.

“What’s up?” read the officer’s response.

Lieutenant B.J. Gruber then proceeded to help Lena with her homework and has since gone viral.

While one comment pointed out that Lt Gruber’s maths was incorrect, we still think his efforts to help the schoolgirl are highly commendable.
