Trying to keep the children entertained over the midterm break can be such a struggle, especially during the colder months. We don’t want them wasting away hours and hours in front of Netflix, or spending so much time on the Xbox that they turn into mini zombies.
Luckily, there is one place that will keep them happily entertained for hours and hours - and we’re not talking about the sofa in the sitting room!
Leisureplex has always been our go-to spot when the kids fancy an adventure. The indoor entertainment centre is the perfect venue, rain or shine.
There is everything and anything you can think of in their six locations (5 in Dublin and 1 in Cork City), making it a dream for weekend playdates, birthday parties and club days out.
One of our favourite things about Leisureplex is the fact that it caters for all ages. The huge soft-play areas are full of slides, ball-pools, climbing areas and activities that your big kids will spend hours in. Entry starts at only €8 per child and €26 for a family-of-four, which is the ultimate bargain for mums who are keeping an eye on their expenses.
There’s even a separate section for toddlers (under 3 years), which means they won’t miss out on the fun. The ‘Little Cubs’ toddler morning in the Zoo Playland is perfect for mums who have a free morning during the week. The toddler mornings cost a mere €5 per child, which includes toddler soft play-section, toys to play with and free tea and coffee for parents/guardian.
The ‘Little Cubs’ toddler mornings take place on Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm (9am to 1pm in Stillorgan) and Sat/Sun/Bank Hols 10am-12pm (9am-12pm in Stillorgan).
Leisureplex ensures that every child has the chance to experience a fun-filled day, which is why their Autism-Friendly Playtime is one of the best parts of the Zoo Playland.
They turn off the music for a more enjoyable play-space for children with Autism and other special needs. This takes place in Leisureplex Coolock every Tuesday from 6pm-7pm and costs €5 per child. They are even hoping to expand it to other locations.
The kids will have an absolute ball at the Zoo Playland, so why not gather up the troops on the next rainy afternoon (or even on a sunny morning!) and let them explore Leisureplex and channel their inner adventurer. Click here for more information.
