Last week, we showed frightening footage of a buggy flying down a road towards a gorge, saved at the last moment by a quick-thinking fisherman.
Today, more terrifying footage has been released of a toddler’s near-miss from an exploding manhole cover.
The incident is reported to have taken place in Birmingham today, with an underground explosion causing the manhole cover to fly up into the air just as the child had walked pass.
Local authorities were reportedly called to the location earlier today, with witnesses relaying how two manhole covers had been dislodged, and how a one-metre-deep hole was left behind in the road.
A local council representative said: “Fortunately – and amazingly – the family passing weren’t hurt…utility companies are investigating who owns the manholes concerned, and the cause.”
The video below will give you shivers. Thank heavens the family escaped without a scratch.
