What kind of game can I play with my toddler?

Here’s a fun game to play with your toddler that will help develop her motor skills, her eye/hand coordination, and give her a great sense of accomplishment!

What you will need:
  • A bunch of socks.
  • A box or basket.
  • A lot of floor space. (make sure to clear away any breakable items)
How to play:
  • Place the box or basket against a wall in the room.
  • Place your toddler a ways away from the box or basket.
  • Roll up the socks to use as balls.
  • Now, encourage your toddler to throw the sock ball and make a basket.
If she seems to make the basket too easily, move her back away from it more. You want the game to present her with a challenge. Likewise, if it seems to difficult, move her closer to the basket so she does not get frustrated.

Cheer and clap and tell your toddler what a great ball player she is!
