Chocolate Chip Cookies
Lovely American style choclate chip cookies. Perfect snack served with a cold glass of milk.
175g butter
175g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs
350g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
110g chopped milk chocolate or milk chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas mark 4
Lay a sheet of baking parchment on a baking tray
Cream butter and sugar.
Add vanilla extract and mix.
Add 3 eggs one at a time, beating between each addition.
Sift in plain flour and baking powder.
Add a pinch of salt and chopped milk chocolate.
Mix well.
Spoon cookie dough on to prepared baking tray leaving enough space for the cookies to expand.
You will need to bake in batches to use all the dough.
Bake for around 12 mins.
Leave to cool on a wire rack.
Serve.
