Chocolate Fudge Cake

This is the perfect chocolate fudge cake for kids parties when sprinkled liberally with sprinkles.

200g dark chocolate

200g butter

200g light muscovado sugar

100ml sour cream

2 eggs, beaten

200g self-raising flour

5 tbsp cocoa powder

Sprinkles to decorate

Icing

100g dark chocolate

170g condensed milk

100g butter

Preheat oven to 160°C/320°F/Gas 3.
Grease and line a 20cm sqaure cake tin.
Place the dark chocolate, butter and sugar into a pan with 100ml hot water and melt gently.
Remove from the heat and add in the sour cream and beaten eggs.
Sift in the flour and mix in the cocoa powder.
Pour into the prepared cake tin and bake for 50 minutes.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
To make the icing melt the dark chocolate, condensed milk and butter.
Leave to cool in the fridge until thickened slightly and spreadable.
Spread over the top of the cake, cover with sprinkles and slice into triangles and serve.
