Spiced Apple Chips
Delicious dried apple chips which are dried low and slow in the oven.
3 apples
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp ginger
1 ½ tsp nutmeg
1 ½ tsp ground cloves
Lay a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray.
Preheat oven to 90°C/200°F/Gas ½.
Slice the apple rings with a mandolin.
Remove the seeds with a the tip of a knife.
Mix together the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and ground cloves together in a bowl.
Lay the apples out on a baking tray.
Sprinkle over the spice mix
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 ½ hours before turning and baking for a further hour.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
