I could really do with a bit of Cash ....

We’re quite similar me and Jessica Alba ... we both have two kiddies (one of them under a year), we both have a career outside the home, we have both been with our other halves for almost 10 years, and we’ve both won sexiest woman alive as voted by some bloke mag. OK so the last bit isn’t true (not even on my best hair day) but the rest is. We're practically related we're so alike. Or so I thought. I read something that made me realise we may not be that alike after all. Apparently, she manages to keep the spark in her relationship  by ‘maintaining a family schedule' which she says is 'the key to making time for each other’, and whether is couch surfing watching crap TV or going out for dinner it's all about ‘carving out this alone time [which] is especially important after almost nine years together’. And on that, we most definitely differ.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be more than happy to couch surf with my good man, or indeed go for dinner (grown up dinner without the kids - it'd be like a dream come true). Sadly, I don’t have a rake load of people to help me out with housework, the washing and ironing, the cooking and cleaning etc not to mention my work, the kids needs and that of the hubby’s too. I get to Friday and collapse, sometimes while reading the little one a story. So the chances of having a date night, or a family schedule that would allow a date night right now, is bonkers.

She also said her hubby (Cash Warren) is very spontaneous with romantic gestures. Now this is something we definitely don’t have in common. Apparently he sent her a bouquet of flowers while she was away on set somewhere, which she really appreciated because it showed he was thinking of her.

If I was away on set somewhere (chance would be a fine thing) the only spontaneous gesture I'd get from my good man is a barrage of texts asking me what time did I expect to be home. Not quite the same.

And so dear Jessica ...  if I had your money and your Cash, I reckon I too could wax lyrical about how ‘maintaining a family schedule’ is the key to a happy life.
