I can’t believe I have managed to lose 11lbs in total over 8 weeks, while still enjoying Christmas.
In general I have found the Motivation Weight Management programme to be easy to use and flexible and most importantly, I have never felt deprived even during the most indulgent time of the year.
Each week I could explain to my Motivation Weight Management Team member what was on my agenda for the upcoming week and we would make a plan around it using the tools available through the programme. On the weeks that I didn’t do so well, although disheartening, these were a real valuable learning experience, as together we analyised what happened and pinpointed the actions I took which would have effected my results. After which, I was given once again the tools to reprogram myself to make better choices to help lose weight. Real hand holding I know but left to my own devices I seemed to never come to the obvious conclusions.
Slowly over the weeks I have changed the way I eat and drink and have incorporated more exercise into my life and with these changes I have seen results. In retrospect it sounds very simple and it actually was, I’m not sure why I never did this before. I guess it’s about awareness. Being aware of your actual body weight, taking responsibly for why you would chose to eat or drink particular things. Understanding how certain foods react with your body and cause you to gain weight. It’s a real eye- opener to understand these principles.
Two of my friends have joined me on the programme and one has lost a stone in the same period and the other 8 lbs. They constantly remind me of how lucky I am to have won this competition, however, I remind them that if I hadn’t started they wouldn’t have either. Are they happy with their results to date? “Most definitely” Would they hand back the money and take the pounds back? “No way”.
I really appreciate this opportunity that I have been given with winning this competition and would recommend that anybody that wants to lose weight should treat themselves and they will see real measureable results.
Previously, I have treated myself in the most unusual ways, another glass of wine, more shoes (because I never really liked buying large clothes) going out for a meal.
Now when I stand back and look at it if I had really focused on treating myself I would have got up and gotten rid of my excess body weight. It makes me feel so much better, I am healthier, I look much better, my pre-baby clothes although a little dated fit me again.
Now all I need to do is win a competition for a new wardrobe!!!
