My Buggies

My obsession with buggies started when expecting my first child nearly four years ago (EEEK!) , after loads of googling and researching I decided to get the Baby Elegance Beep. I wanted to get the Silvercross 3D pushchair but it has a lot of fiddly bits so everyone warned me away from it. With the beep at least you could just pop in the pram or car seat and off you go. With the Silvercross as pretty as it was, just folding it alone meant taking off the pram bit by bit, try that with a screaming baby especially my first who was a reflux baby :-( The Beep served me well and I spent most of the first 3 months rocking my LG back and front in the living room trying to get her to sleep. The problems with the Beep only became apparent when she was 5 months old, too big for the pram part and too small for the pushchair and I really didn't like putting her in the car seat for long periods of time so I upgraded to my Koochi IPSO stroller which came in pink with matching changing bag and footmuff, a girly girls dream! I also had to change cos at the time I wasn't driving and lugging the Beep into the bus luggage area was breaking my back so the IPSO was light and cosy for my LG.

Shortly after purchasing my Koochi IPSO stroller Pink stroller, I discovered I was expecting again a very BIG surpise so started my search for the twin pushchair as there would only be 14 months between them. I ended up getting the Maclaren Techno as the OH had a work friend selling one for cheap so no research or google ended except to check if it was a decent buggy, it was for the price. It reclined flat which was handy for the new arrival, a LB with cosytoes and head huggers but it was a bit wide and I was only learning to drive so had a little corsa which it barely fit into but it did the job nicely. I had the mad idea to get a new twin pushchair when my LB was nearly a year old as my LG was walking most of the time so wanted something that could be used as a single to save space in the house as I now had three buggies and my OH was going mad over the space they were taking up so sent the Beep off to my dads, sold the Maclaren Techno and got the Hauch Freeride inline stroller. It is very heavy and if using it for a newborn you would need to get the car seat as the front seat isn't really suitable for under 6 months in my opinion but it did it's job. My LG decided then a couple of months after buying the freerider at 2.5 years old that she wanted to walk and didn't like the pushchair no more, at that time I got my licence and bought a new car and so needed a new buggy anyway that would fit in a very tiny boot (cos of parcel shelf that I refuse to remove as it won't be new no more lol), so I got the Dimples stroller and got the rain cover for it in argos, it fit in the boot nicely altho my LB won't sleep in it so really wish I had got the Babylo Mia as it lay back flat and folded nice and small and fit in my boot with room to spare but it was twice the price of the Dimples and as I was on my 5th buggy at that stage my OH was refusing to fork out anymore on another buggy.(I had his heart and wallet broke I say with all the buggies) so now I'm on the Dimples with a buggy board the Obaby one and now I just deal with my two arguing over who goes on the Buggy board lol

If had my time again I would buy a light pushchair from the beginning like the Quinny Zapp Xtra so I would only needed to have bought one pushchair for the first three years. and had it been out when my LB was born I would have got the Cosatto Shuffle cos it's beautiful, the width of a single pushchair, folds up nice and small and comes with a newby nest which think is the best thing ever.
