One of America's biggest little stars is set for Irish shores

Tomorow night Ryan Tubridy will come face to face with America’s most famous beauty queen – Toddler and Tiaras' Eden Wood as she appears on The Late Late Show along with her mother and her manager.
 
As Ireland prepares to host its very first child beauty pageant this weekend, many fans of the infamous reality show are buzzing at the chance to meet its breakout star.
 
The eight-year-old shot to fame when she appeared on Toddlers and Tiaras four years ago and at her young age, she already has a dedicated following all over the world.
 
The Arkansas-born queen retired two years ago and while she won’t be competing at this weekend’s pageant herself, she will be there to greet contestants and offer them some sage advice.
 
Universal Royalty’s Irish pageant is happening in the same week that France announced a ban on beauty contests for children, leading to renewed criticism of events like these that encourage little girls to wear heavy make-up and high heels.
 
I'm not sure what to think of beauty queens and pageants, although I do know I wouldn't want my daughter to take part  ... what do you reckon?
