Babymooning, what a funny term, but so very needed. My pregnancy with Liv was full of bumps (pun intended) and lots of love! It really made me feel like a strong amazing woman. I loved all my curves and felt more comfortable and confident than I had been in my whole life. Carrying a life inside of you is so empowering and it helps when your partner loves your new growing belly (arms, legs, butt, boobs!) Peter wasn’t sure about a maternity shoot but I assured him it would be fun and a memory we could share together forever and sure enough, it was just that. We shot down the street from my house in Lahaina, Maui. Kristy, a friend of mine, who just so happens to be an amazing photographer, took these for us! Splashing around, having too much fun. Definitely was the best part of my pregnancy by far. We had an amazing trip and had the best baby shower at my mom’s house and backyard! Will definitely share a post about that day as it was way too memorable not to! If you’re ever in Maui and need someone to capture any special moment, these girls are amazing! www.mauimakaphotography.com
where did you mummys babymoon too? and did you do a maternity shoot? If you are pregnant now i seriously encourage you to do one! even if its just a friend taking them- make them black and white and instantly its wall worthy and a moment in your life you'll want to remember forever ;) now my 18 month old will pick up the photo i keep next to our bed and say mama dada baby and point to my belly! I almost didnt do the shoot because i felt sick (nauseas throughout pregnancy) and was seeing all these gorgeous photos thinking mine will never look like that! i am a beached whale!!! we all see ourselves soo differently and its taken me to have a baby to really love my body exactly how it is! funny how gaining stretch marks and saggy boobs makes me feel more beautiful, but it does! when my son wraps his arms around me and says petty- he might be trying to say peppa ( but i imagine him saying pretty) and his love for his mama just the way i am inspires me to love myself the same!! Post your pregnancy photos here! looking for new ideas for the next one ;)
