So the dip of the roller coaster on Friday improved on Saturday. The babies have been wriggling around so much since I arrived in The Coombe, although I wasn't sure if it was because they loved it in here or hated it.

My amazing consultant came in on her day off - and the start of her holiday - to scan me on Saturday morning as she didn't want me to wait until Monday. I am pleased to say that the absent flow in Baby One has improved and the consultant even got some forward flow showing which was really positive. I think Baby One likes being here and having all the attention. Maybe they also felt I needed to rest more as well!

It is quite interesting being an in-patient. You quickly build up nice friendships with the girls and nurses on the antenatal ward and it is fascinting listening to what other people are in for. It is also amazing to see how quickly our situations can change.

The girl opposite me was fine yesterday at lunchtime and by mid-evening, she was sent being off for a C-section as her blood pressure had gone haywire and she had pre-eclampsia issues. It makes me realise I am in the best place possible right now, even if it means I'll go stir crazy if I end up being in here for weeks...

I have a 20-minute trace at 5-6am and 5-6pm each day to check the babies' heartbeats and there are also little heartbeat checks throughout the day, along with my blood pressure, temperature and pulse rate being monitored. I really am being so well looked after; the nurses are amazing!

You have to get sleep when you can as there are lots of things going on to disturb you but as I am resting all day too (apart from the highlight of my husband or family visiting) it is fine.

I am being scanned a few different times this week so let's hope they all bring good news, like Saturday's one, so that these babies can stay in a bit longer. My consultant is away until 20th July so I'm praying the babies are good and hold on in there until she is back (if not a bit longer please).
