We've had a robin for two weeks - I think it's a sign

There has been a robin in my garden every day for the last two weeks (or so it seems) - and I think it's a sign my dad is keeping an eye on me.

I have had a few brief teary moments while making big decisions over the past few weeks: Do I have surgery? Do I not? Do I return to work or do I not?

I've also been tired and I'm missing my family in England a lot; wishing they were here for company and support. But I think the robin might be a sign that Dad is keeping an eye on me to help me through the tough days and hard decisions.

Following my dad's death in April 2014, my sister had a robin flying alongside her whilst out running. The same day my mum and nephew saw a robin in the garden. On another day, after I had planted a rose bush from my mum to remember my dad, I came back to it a few minutes later to find a robin hopping round it.

Believe what you will but I definitely feel my dad watches over us every day, especially when I'm lacking that all important sleep!

I would give everything to have him here with us so he could share in the joy the triplets have brought us both and our families; I think of him every day and miss him so much.

So where are we up to with our three little miracles?

Thankfully, they are doing great and very easy-going babies.

They feed well, giving all meals and new recipes a try and particularly like my fish recipes, lamb meatloaf, chicken bake and sweet potato with anything.

They are waking once a night now for a bottle but feed so quickly (they normally wake together and I can feed them all together then) that I can be back in bed in half an hour.

All three of them are asleep most nights by 7pm and, apart from the milk feed and sometimes some little whimpers, they wake around 6am.

I refuse to get up before 7am though so they are normally given some toys and generally play until I'm ready to get out of bed.

Of course if they are crying I go into them and sometimes have to give in and get up early, but luckily that is not too many mornings.

Róisín got her first tooth two weeks ago and Rebecca last week which is great as they have all been teething for what seems like forever. I think I can feel something under Elliot's gums, poor thing, as he has suffered the most with teething.

Rebecca and Róisín have been on the move for a week or two now and they're very fast! They do some form of army crawl, using their hands as suckers almost, and I had to make a pen for them to play in where I can close the gate when I have to go upstairs. Elliot seems to get around too, although by spinning and rolling.

They play well together now and chat away and laugh with each other. They even have screeching matches at mealtimes which is rather funny to watch. They are saying 'baba', 'mama' and 'dada' now which is nice to hear and are picking up quite small toys now....and sticking everything possible in their mouths.

When I last posted the christening was going to be that Sunday and it was such a wonderful day and weekend.

All my family were here which was so special and we got together with all of my husband's family on the Saturday night. We also had our closest friends from England and Ireland to celebrate.  This day was not only a baptism into Christianity until they are old enough to decide for themselves, but it was a true celebration of how far we have come in the last year or so.

We wanted to acknowledge the support our family and friends have given us, which we would be lost without.

We had a lovely service and baptism at the local Methodist Church where I attend, then went to the local tennis club for a lunch. My husband even put a wonderful video together of the last nine months - it was a day to remember with wonderful family and friends.
