Early morning breakfast show Lorraine featured a topless model who was guided through a self-check examination by Dr Hilary Jones. The model demonstrated the correct hand movements and pressure applications necessary to detect potentially cancerous lumps in the breasts and...

A couple of weeks ago I was taking my almost-two-year-old son around the shops when I ran over something with the buggy. This trip around the shops is a Saturday ritual at Madden Mansions, but whereas most weeks Mrs. M comes with us, every so often I take AJ (as I'll be calling the almost-two-year-old in this space) on my own to give her a break. This was one of those Saturdays. The ritual is...

My son is going on 8 months and has not slept a full night at all. I can remember one blurry night where the max was 6 glorious hours in a row! He wakes every morning about 6-7am - breakfast and a bottle, nap around 11 (sometimes for 30 minute, sometimes up to 2 hours - very rare though) snack / lunch when he wakes up. Dinner around 5, tea at 7 followed by bath soon after, bottle and bed. He will...

Despite spending a week modeling beautiful designer clothes in Paris, it seems none of it could compare to Miranda Kerr's joy at being reunited with her son after spending time apart. Flynn Bloom's mum looked delighted when she spotted him waiting in a car outside the airport and she smoothered the two-year-old with hugs and kisses as soon as she reached him. Spending six whole days away...

A recent survey has revealed that children between the ages of 12 and 15 don’t know all their social media ‘friends’, leaving them vulnerable to online bullying or grooming. New research has found eating a big breakfast could help women struggling to get pregnant. The study found that eating the biggest meal of the day in the morning rather than the evening helps to regulate insulin, testosterone and other hormones that can negatively affect a woman’s fertility. A new study has found one in five songs in the UK Top Ten is glamorising alcohol. Today’s music is more likely to glorify drinking than songs from ten years ago and researchers warn that chart music could be encouraging children to drink. Many songs link alcohol with confidence, socialising or attractiveness rather than with hangovers and health problems. Researchers are calling for warning...

Actress Natalie Portman has admitted her view of mothers has changed significantly since having her little boy Aleph in 2011. In her interview with Thor co-star Tom Hiddleston in ELLE UK, she says parenting is the hardest job she’s had. “I love being a mum, but it’s much more intensive work than being an actress – going to work feels like you’ve got a day off. “Not that I want a day...
