Hi I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I am trying to potty train my little girls it is not going to well. She will hold her pee rather than go on the potty. She was holding herself this morning and I kept on putting her on the potty. She was getting very distressed so I put a nappy on her and she went to the toilet. I am not sure where to go from here! thanks in advance

The bond between siblings is a very special bond. There is nothing better than watching our three together, playing, laughing, cuddling, enjoying each other. They truly adore each other. I am thankful that the age gaps between each of them doesn't really matter. Some people told me when I was pregnant that the gaps were to big and that they would grow up and move in different circles - they would...

Hi, my name is Lynne Finn. I had my first baby, Emily Charlotte Finn in Mount Carmel on 02.09.12. Every aspect of my pregnancy to birth journey at Mount Carmel was a very calm and positive experience. The level of care was second to none. My consultant was Dr. Andrea Nugent who I would highly recommend. I was under the shared care package which meant my ante natal visits were shared between my...

I gave birth to my beautiful daughter Julia on New Year’s Day 2012 in Mount Carmel Hospital. I can’t speak highly enough of the care and attention I received throughout my pregnancy. I sailed through the first 3 months without a whiff of morning sickness but as I entered the 13 th week, something didn’t feel right and a pain in my lower right side, which I originally put down to the womb...

My experience in Mount Carmel Hospital was absolutely fantastic. I didnt have an easy pregnancy, I got gestational diabetes which was picked up very early by the antenatal team. I attended the endocrinologist and together with Anne the diabetic nurse, they ensured that it did not cause any complications. Daily emails and visits to the Dietician ensued. It was a fantastic service, I was helped...

I myself was a Mount Carmel baby. Dr. Karl Mullen delivered me into the world at 20.20 on Sunday October 12th, 1986. Exactly 25 years later to the day, I found out that I was going to be a mum. The choice of hospital was obvious for me. From the moment we met with Bairbre for our booking appointment, I knew we were in for a journey filled with really positive and happy memories. We had our first...

Put a group of 30 something or indeed 40 something year old ladies together. Ask them about their Confirmation outfits and wait for the shrieks of hilarity. Grown women will shout each other down, vying to win the title of Most Horrendous Outfit Ever. Personally I feel I have a good chance. Cream pop socks and knee length corduroy skirt anyone? So when it was my turn to be Mum who chooses, I was...

I like to consider myself a modern mum! I may be on the wrong side of 40, but I wear skinny jeans, I own wedge trainers (ooh, very cutting edge!), I’m adept at the GHD and there’s no sign of Ponds Cold Cream in my bathroom cabinet. ‘Middle age, my ass!’ is pretty much my mantra! All was going well … until my 12 year old daughter introduced me to Hollister. Dear Divine Mother of God...
